BOOKING CONDITIONS


1. Contract.

Your contract is signed with Alviazur SARL who acts as an agent in the booking of you accommodation. The booking conditions here below become automatically terms of the contract when the down payment to Alviazur or its agent is done. Please, read them carefully before making a booking.

2. Making a booking, Confirmation and Payment.

You have made your booking and received an instant confirmation with the dates, the price and the description of the chosen property. Only the description of the property and the price in your invoice are contractual. To confirm the booking, a deposit of 25% of the total amount has to be paid to Alviazur within 7 days. The balance must be paid at least 4 weeks before the start date of the booking. Payments can be done by bank transfer, personal check, VISA or MasterCard or cash. If you have chosen to pay by credit card, your account will be debited with the amount of the down payment immediately and a receipt will be send to you by mail or email. If no deposit is received, we reserve the right to cancel the booking. For the last minute bookings made 29 days or less before the planned arrival date, the total amount of the booking is to be paid immediately. In this case the booking conditions become contractual at the reception of the payment.

Only one invoice is sent and we recommend that you put a reminder of the deadline date for balance payment in your schedule. If the balance is not paid on time, we will try to contact you but reserve the right to cancel your booking, retain the deposit and apply cancellation charges as indicated below. A voucher including the rented property’s address, the key-holder’s name, phone number, address and local directions will be sent to you after the reception of the full balance payment. This voucher should be shown to the local key-holder or the property manager at the arrival. If you leave your country long time before the check-in date, please make a request your voucher(s) to be sent in advance. Any extra requests can only be guaranteed if confirmed in writing by Alviazur.

3. Prices and Periods.

Prices are quoted per property and per week (not per person) for the chosen period. North American travellers should note that the dates for the different price periods may be indicated in European date style: first the day of the month, then the month (for example 14.12 = Dec. 14). The bookings are generally registered from Saturday to Saturday. Sometimes some other restrictions are applied for Christmas’ and New Year’s periods. Arrival and departure dates for the other days of the week might be possible after checking and confirming with Alviazur. If your holiday covers two different price periods, you will be charged pro rata for the number of days during each period. Prices generally include the utility bills. Bed linen and local tourist tax have to be paid locally as an extra charge. Final cleaning might be included into the rental price. If not it is added separately in the invoice. Any other additional services, such as extra cleaning, firewood, garage, telephone, etc. are not included and have to be paid locally. For certain accommodations bed linens and/or towels have to be brought, it means they cannot be rented or obtained locally. Self-catering accommodation often requires that you have to supply all items necessary for daily living. For each booking Alviazur charge 20 € booking fees.

4. Your Holiday Accommodation.

Your accommodation is a private property and we act as an agent in its booking. These terms of business set out the basis on which we arrange your accommodation with the owner. The description of the property is contractual and without exception joined to the confirmation of your booking. We would like to draw your attention to the following points about the accommodation. The holiday homes that we propose for rental are furnished by the owners according to their individual taste and local standard. Some are luxurious, many very comfortable, others more moderate and some rather basic. We have graded the properties from 1 to 5 stars with 1 being the most simple and 5 the most luxurious: these quality ratings are based on a detailed check-list applied during a personal inspection by our staff members. Items such as dishes, cutlery and bedding are always provided, but coffee makers, teapots or toasters cannot automatically be expected. Since many homes in Europe do not have ovens, we always mention it in the description when there is one available. If “oven” is not mentioned, then there will only be a hob or hot plates. All homes are equipped with a refrigerator (usually not as large as Americans may expect). Beds’ width is indicated in cm. If ”divan lit” is mentioned, it means a sleeper sofa or similar seating convertible to sleep in the evening. Please, have in mind that these additional sleeping possibilities are often not as comfortable as regular beds. If the commodities like TV, phone, air-conditioning, dishwasher etc. are available, these will be mentioned in the description. If they are not mentioned, the property is not equipped with. Unfortunately, we cannot always answer specific questions about all furnishing details, availability of appliances or exact size of rooms if not mentioned in the property description, neither can we usually provide detailed floor plans.

5. Changes in Conditions or Prices.

We pay special attention to the exactness of the details in our descriptions. Nevertheless if any changes or errors are discovered, you will be advised without delay and normally with the issue of the invoice before you accept the accommodation. If we discover any changes after you have confirmed the booking, we will of course advise you immediately and offer you the options either to accept the change or an alternative accommodation of equal value (if available) or a full refund without further compensation (see point 8). We reserve the right to increase or decrease the prices at any time before you book but once your booking is confirmed the price of your rental is fully guaranteed and you will not be charged with any additional costs. In return for this commitment, no refunds will be made for any exchange rate movements or cost adjustments that would otherwise reduce the rental cost. We cannot be held liable for price discrepancies due to typographical errors. We reserve the right to impose any taxes or other charges, which may be implemented by the Government or other regulating organisms, which were unknown at time of publishing this price list.

6. Arrival and Departure, Curtailing or Extending your stay.

You should arrive between 4.00 pm and 7.00 pm on the first day of your booking and vacate before 10.00 am on the day of departure unless an alternative schedule is specified on your voucher. Please, contact the key-holder by telephone if you are delayed or request an exceptional earlier or later check-in. If you are unable to occupy your accommodation on the day and time booked due to a delay, an illness, personal reasons etc. no refund can be made. Similarly, if you have to shorten your holiday for any reason, no refund can be made for the unused days. If you would like to prolong your stay, please contact your agent or the Alviazur’s office, you will be immediately informed for the possibility.

7. Changes or Cancellations by You.

If you wish to change any accommodation arrangement we will endeavour to do so. If, however, you request a change of accommodation 45 days or less before the arrival date this will be treated as a cancellation and the cancellation charges listed here below will be due. Should you have to cancel your accommodation; the following cancellation charges will be incurred:
  • Cancellations made 45 days or more before arrival: 25% of rental cost.
  • Cancellations made 44 days to 30 days before arrival: 50% of rental cost.
  • Cancellations made 29 days to 7 days before arrival: 80% of rental cost.
  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before arrival: 100% of rental cost.
The 20 € booking fee is non-refundable. All cancellations must be communicated as soon as possible by phone and must be confirmed in writing (email, fax or letter). The date of the reception of the written cancellation will be taken into account for the refund. We strongly recommend that you take out insurance to cover against cancellation charges.

8. Changes or Cancellation by Alvazur.

It is unlikely that we have to make changes of your booking. If we are forced to do so, we will advise you as soon as possible and we will make an offer either to accept the change or an alternative accommodation of the same value (if available) or a full refund without further compensation.
We do not accept responsibility or pay any compensation if the contract is prevented or affected by reason of circumstances which amount to “force majeure”. Circumstances amounting to “force majeure” include any event which even with due care could not be foreseen or avoided. Such circumstances include but are not limited to the destruction of your accommodation by fire, flood, explosion, storm or other weather damage, riots, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, war or threat of war or similar situations.

9. Your Responsibility.

You have to make a deposit the day of your arrival (special conditions might exist for luxurious properties). The deposit can be paid cash or by traveller’s checks or, in some cases, by credit card (pay attention because for some locations the credit card it’s not possible). The local key-holder is obliged to hand the keys over only if the deposit has been paid. The deposit will be refunded at the departure directly by the local key-holder after deduction of any extra charges or damages. Please settle your account before you check out. You must take care of the property and respect the local rules. If you break or damage anything in the accommodation you must advise the key-holder or the local office immediately. You, on behalf of yourself will be responsible for any breakage or damage made, unless you can prove it was not your responsibility, and will have to pay for the replacements or repairs. If the amount of the repairing is more important than your security deposit you will be charged with the difference.
We strongly recommend you to take out personal holiday insurance before leaving your country.
You must leave the property in good order and wash and put away all kitchen utensils before your departure. The final cleaning by a third party is usually included in the rental price or may be arranged by paying a local extra charge. The occupancy is strictly limited to the number of people indicated on the voucher. The key-holder has the right to refuse the entry to extra persons or pets not reserved or charge a supplement.

For your security, please note:
  • Only use the barbecue on the terrace, without moving and take care to switch it off well after using.
  • Don’t throw away the stubs of the cigarettes other than in the ashtrays.

10. Complaints.

If you have a problem in the accommodation during your holiday, you must inform the local key-holder or our local office immediately who will endeavour to put things right. In case of a serious problem you have to call Alviazur’s office immediately and confirm your complaint in writing within 8 days after vacating the accommodation. It is therefore a condition of this contract that you communicate any problem to the local key-holder. If you fail to follow this simple and reasonable procedure, we cannot accept the responsibility as we have been deprived of the opportunity to investigate and rectify the problem.

11. Our Responsibility.

We are responsible only if the accommodation you booked with our company does not correspond to the terms of the contract. In this case we will do our best to make an offer for an equivalent accommodation if available. If no equivalent alternative available or if you do not accept the offer a refund could be negotiated. In case something in the accommodation is not provided as stated we will arrange an appropriate compensation if this has disturbed you holiday. We do not guarantee that all resort facilities will be open during the low season. Swimming pools are normally open only during the summer season. Use of swimming pools for children under 6 years old without adults is forbidden. Alviazur is not responsible for accidents in the children’s play areas or sports facilities (e.g. tennis, football pitches, training facilities, etc.) We are not responsible in case of interruption of certain services or supplies, such as town gas, electricity, water or others which we do not control directly. Alviazur is not responsible in the following cases:
  • Wrongdoing or serious breach on behalf of the customer.
  • Omission or negligence of the services that are not mentioned in the contract
  • In case of “force majeure” when the events could not be foreseen or avoided neither by Alviazur nor by our representative.
  • In case of theft. You have to do the necessary with your private insurance before leaving your country.
